Summer Dining

Is there anything lovelier than summer dining, with the soft scents of the evening and the joy of friends and family being able to gather again. It seems only right to dedicate our June blog to all things sociable, sunny and stylish.

Cocktail Hour

As soon as the sun starts to sink, it is time to pour yourself a cocktail.  Always use fresh fruit and mint leaves, and the “good” glasses; after all, life is for living. We adore the Rockefeller drinks trolley with its unique amber glass shelving encased in ergonomic curves of antique brass. With plenty of room for glasses, shakers, bottles and flowers galore, this stunning piece is the touch of Art Deco style every drawing-room needs.

Gather your Clan

Sociable seating is something we are very happy to see return as a trend for summer. Benches are just easy to move, allow for more folks to gather and they are as relaxed as any summer party could wish. Our particular favourite is this beautiful Logan dining table, with a matching bench (available in medium too!).  The gorgeous warm tones of the mango timber chevron tabletop are elegantly complemented by a stainless steel frame. This is industrial chic at its very finest and ensures any open plan kitchen or dining space is bright and breezy as well as warm and welcoming. Bench seating is also very easy to move outside to a terrace, patio or deck for a spot of al fresco feasting.

Get Your Groove On!

No self-respecting hostess would dream of a party or social gathering without a backdrop of tasteful tunes. From soulful jazz to upbeat melodies, keep your sound system looking it’s very best by storing it inside the fabulously decadent Fandango media unit. The whitewashed mango wood finish with brass-plated legs and handles provide a stunning storage unit for not only your music, but all the little things that keep a party going, all with a touch of luxury.

Relax, you deserve it

When the last guests have departed and the clearing up is done, sink into the comfort of your favourite corner chair and reflect on the fabulousness of being able to have parties again! With bright colours and soft plush velvets, we have a chair for every taste. We love the Art Deco feel of this cane and champagne pink velvet Emmeline Armchair with its curvaceous cushions and arms and contrasting colours and textures. Offering plenty of feel appeal as well as a soft, squishy look that longs to be sat in, add it to the living room, bedroom or an open-plan space and settle in for the night with your favourite book.
